What a great way to Celebrate National Adoption Month!

We're so overwhelmed by all of your calls, happy dances, comments, hugs, and emails, we just wanted to say

THANK YOU!!!

We only have eight weeks left to prepare every last detail for the arrival of this special little boy. Some of you have asked about when the baby shower will be and we've decided to have it sometime in January after we bring him home. Then everyone can meet him and celebrate his arrival with us!

So what's next?

Monday we have our homestudy agency coming over for a visit because our homestudy expires on Dec. 10th. This needs to be current to legally adopt a baby, so this has to happen and we figured we might as well do this right away.

Meanwhile our adoption agency will be contacting its attorney to have him determine the birthfather's rights. The birthfather hasn't been supportive financially, emotionally or otherwise, so we're not too worried. Of course we're still praying for the birthfather and his family just in case.

Also our caseworker mentioned we would probably take the birthmother and her mother out to dinner again so we're looking forward to that! She hasn't decided yet how much involvement she wants us to have at the hospital so we hope to find out at our next face-to-face meeting.
