Since Hawaii was a four hour time difference for us, ZJ forgot to set his watch to local time and woke up at 7:00 MOUNTAIN time. Luckily he has a nice daddy who took him out on the town even though it was still dark outside. He even took a photo Blair Witch style: 
Our first real adventure was hiking Diamond Head. Ron had wanted to ride bikes there, but I'm so glad I talked him into riding the bus. Just walking from the bus drop off to the start of the hike was a killer. Especially since it was 90 degrees with 80% humidity and it was only about 9 or 10 am! We did see some other people riding bikes there and they looked like they wanted to die! Thank you Oahu bus system for saving us from an early death!

You can see all of the hotels in Waikiki. It really was beautiful even though it was soooo hot.
I think Ron is rubbing ZJ's belly for good luck; we needed it for the hike back down. You can never pack too much drinking water in Hawaii:
After we hiked back we had to buy some shaved ice. Can't go to Hawaii without buying a few of those. Yummy!
