Court Today!

Today we take our sweet baby Kenzie to court to finalize her adoption. It's more a formality than anything else. She has been ours since her birthmother and birthfather placed her in our family a couple of days after she was born. But I truly felt she was ours long before that moment. She is a sweet, beautiful baby and I feel blessed to be her mom.

I remember the first time we went to court with our little Zachary. I was nervous because I had never done this before. Now, three years and three adoptions later, I realize this is just a fun day - it's even fun for the judge. The courtroom is all smiles and a new family is created as if it was born that way.

In a week and a half we will take Kenzie to the temple and be sealed to her just like we were sealed to her brother and sister. I look forward to that day even more...
