Father's Day Weekend

As most of you know, we decided to plan a trip for Father's Day weekend this year.

We invited my dad, stepmom, three brothers, two sisters-in law and one nephew to come along.

Since we planned to go whitewater rafting on the Snake River Saturday morning, and we were staying at the KOA 13 miles South of town, we told everyone to bring stuff to eat for breakfast before our rafting trip.

My dad said he would bring breakfast bars. This is what he brought:

(As a side-note, my dad owns a vending machine business, so I should have seen it coming, but didn't.)

So after our healthy breakfast we headed for the whitewater outfitters. Since the water was still pretty cold, the outfitters gave us each a wet suit, rain pants and jackets & special booties to keep our feet warmer. It was sooo nice!!! Usually they charge extra money for all the gear, but they didn't because they didn't want our group to cancel due to the freezing water.

I'm sad this picture of our group on the snake river bus is blurry, but what do you do?

You can see the surprised looks on our faces in this last one as a 6 foot wave comes over top of our raft. (Ron is front left and Jessica is front right behind her younger brother's head).
