The Good Seed

Lehi's tree of life dream teaches us how to be partakers of God's love. For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son. When we pick the fruit off the tree of life and partake we are becoming like Christ thru the atonement God gave us. It is the living water of Jesus. It is life eternal.

When we go thru hard times/trials, it's easy to think we are not loved. It's difficult to feel loved when life is hard. But, did God love Jesus? Who He let suffer betrayal by Judas? Denied three times by Peter? Scourged and spat upon by sinners?

Did He love Jesus who was nailed to a cross and who He pulled even His own spirit away from? Does He love those who suffer, even unto death and pain?

He loves eternally, infinitely, everlastingly!

He sent His beloved son to suffer and die that He might be the seed of faith planted in each of us. The hope of Salvation! Jesus is the seed who died for us that we might multiply and fill the earth with faith in Him. Without the death of the seed, there would be no fruit! For the fruit bringeth forth seed after it's kind.

Yes, He loves you. He loves you with an unconditional love. He chastens those He loves because He knows the beginning and the end. He IS the beginning and the end. He knows our potential. After all, He's the one who planted the seed. He knows what we will become. We must internalize this love. We must become this love. Jesus taught us the measure of love. He said in John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." And JST Mark 8:43 "For verily I say unto you, That he shall come; and he that layeth down his life for my sake and the gospel’s, shall come with him, and shall be clothed with his glory in the cloud, on the right hand of the Son of Man."

Do we want to be a friend to God? Do we lay down our life, our wants, our flesh? If we want to be the bride of Christ, we must be willing. Willing and joyful! He loves a joyful giver. Freely we have received His love and freely we must give His love. This life is not a test of God's love. It is a test of ours.

With Love,
Jessica
